That Feeling Called Love

by: Marie Jane Oxemer

A young lepidoptera trying to spread her new found wings
A thing of beauty, so they say.
Observers can’t just pull stares away.
Captivated to hold the fragile loveliness.

Caught a glimpse of you one day,
A gentle flower in bloom; beauty to behold
I dare admire and long to get close to.
Savor the bliss unknown to me.

Radiant magnificence ensnared my eyes.
I admire you and you do me too.
Two of a kind we are.
You were cultivated by experience, weathered through storms.

You satiate my empty psyche with encouragements
Saw beyond the exterior beauty.
Afraid to open my wings; you calmed my fears.
Warranted me to seek the strength to take wing.

Now I lay dazed; adamant to flap my wings.
So comfortable you made me in you.
No longer do I want to leave nor
desert the sweetness of you.

But a butterfly has to fly, or she dies;
Release me; say the words but not goodbye.
Just say you believe in me, then I can be free.
I’ll soar higher towards the sky, to horizons that awaits me.

Mga Pinalangga nga Iloy

 By: Charry Mae Roldan

Kay sin-o bala dapat nakon ipaanggid?

Ang pagpalangga nga sa akon pagkatawo nagaid

Maalwan nga kasingkasing, walay untat nga pag-ulikid.

Mga iloy sang amon kabuhi

Sa inyo laygay kami nagapamati.

May dakong pagsalig kag paghamili

Bug-os nga ginhatag para sa amon, inyo nga kabuhi.

Hiyas nga gaidlak sa ikaduha nga Dominggo sa Mayo

Adlaw sang aton Iloy dapat ipakamaayo

Bisan gasakit ila kabubut-on, talungdon sila sang husto

Dako nga pagpalangga sa tagipusoon nila ipakadto.

Pag- antos kag kabudlay, indi mabayluhan sang pilak

Kundi pagpalangga kag pag-ulikid nga wala kahilak

Pareho sang adlaw nga sa langit nagasilak

Bugana and pag-ambit nagikan sa mga anak.

O mga pinalangga namon nga iloy-labing huwaran,

Sa kabuhi, namon nga kabataan indi kamo malimtan.

Sang wala’y pagdumot, pagpalangga lang nga tuman

Kag hamili nga pag ulikid sa inyo tubtob san-o man.

Sapian Community Network

Sapian Online has a very limited audience. Web citizens comprise less that 3% of the population. If we want to reach and involve the whole of Sapian, we need to branch out. And if we are to make a difference in the lives of common Sapianons, we need strong branches through organized, independent community network.
